Reformation Roots

Do you ever wonder why we have so many Christian denominations, and if there is really much difference between them?  The answers to questions like these lie in the dramatic and turbulent times of the Reformation.  This series will help bring to life the stories and struggles of that time that still impact us today.  Join us starting Sunday, Sept 9th, at 10:45 am. in Room 8 of the Education Wing.  



  

ALL Education classes  continue to meet after worship.


Age 2-4 meets in classroom 3 in the Education Wing following worship until 11:30. Curriculum is "Little Steps Big Faith. The children learn how little steps grow into BIG faith. Each child is given a First Bible to use in the classroom.  September through December semester covers the Old Testament and ends with the birth of Jesus.  January through April semester covers the New Testament and Easter.


Age 5 or K-2nd grades begins in classroom 5 in the Activity Center from 10:30-10:45. Rotation model learning for age 5 or K-2nd grade and grades 3-5 from 10:45-11:30 in various rooms. Each child is given a Bible at age 5 or Kindergarten and another Bible in 3rd grade to use in the classroom. 


Cooking, Science, computers, Creative Drama, Art, Bible Skills and Games, plus Music!
Learns one bible story each month rough any of these rotation model methods. September through December semester covers the Old Testament and ends with the birth of Jesus.  January through April semester covers the New Testament and Easter.


Grade 6 through High School - Living Lutheran Classes for confirmation and post-Confirmands.

Kicks off with a weekend retreat in august. Meets in the Youth Room immediately following worshp until 11:30 a.m.  Collaborate curriculum for 2018-2019 is the Old Testament and the New Testament.  A Confirmation Bible is given to each youth in the confirmation program to be used for their studies.

Early Communion Classes

As children are ready to take their first communion, classes are planned and children participate in their first communion at the Maundy Thursday night worship service prior to Easter. If your child is interested in the classes, contact the Church Office at 721-0590.
